'Investors in People' (IiP) is a national standard that links the training and on-going development of our staff to our business success as a nursery. We first achieved the IiP standard in 1999 and were the first nursery business in North Yorkshire to do so. Since then we have been reviewed every three years and have very proudly continued to achieve the status.
After our most recent assessment in the summer of 2014, a report was published which can be obtained from your nursery manager should you wish to read it in full. We have collated some of the feedback from the assessor below based on his interviews with staff from all four of the nurseries:
The staff have a sense of pride and commitment in doing the best they can for the children in their care. They are really proud of their achievements. The partnership with parents is really strong and as a result the children enjoy the highest standards of play, education, learning and development.’ Happy Jays’ emphasis on developing excellent people skills has fuelled the success of the business and built its reputation as a top quality nursery group. The combination of providing a happy and safe environment for children supported by caring, well-qualified staff has proved to be a winning formula.
