Welcome to our Boroughbridge Nursery
We chose Boroughbridge as the place for our children’s nursery with the needs of local people and local employers in mind. There is a shortage of good quality childcare facilities and very often parents have little or no choice over having to take whatever is available to them.
So we decided to create a local high quality nursery providing a safe, secure and clean environment with good indoor and outdoor play facilities staffed by well qualified and caring people.
Our Nursery Facility
We are located in a large single storey building in Back Lane in the town centre of Boroughbridge - adjacent to the large public car park, with our own outside play area and ample parking facilities. We provide a secure and clean environment with good quality equipment and facilities, staffed by well-qualified and caring people. The nursery is a warm, happy, safe and caring place for your children in the most convenient of locations.
The building is divided into three individual sections for children of differing ages together with a dining room and kitchen as well as separate toilets for children and staff.
We are registered with Ofsted and the Centre meets with all necessary environmental health, fire and health and safety requirements needed in a modern daycare facility.
Boroughbridge Nursery Manager - Holly
Holly has worked for Happy Jays since 2003. She has a Level 4 in Child Care. Since starting at the nursery she has taken promotions from Nursery Nurse to Supervisor then Deputy before being promoted to Acting Manager.
Within the Centre children are cared for on the following basis:
Babies (3 - 18 months)
Our baby play room is well-equipped with plenty of space for rolling, crawling and learning to walk and provide a relaxed but stimulating environment. A great deal of time is spent giving babies loving care and attention with plenty of cuddles. There is a separate sleep room for babies to use as well as changing facilities and good quality nappies are provided.
Our staff hold various qualifications ranging from degree to Level 2 in all aspects of childcare management. In addition, all staff pursue an ongoing training programme covering areas such as Child Safeguarding, Learning through Play, Pediatric First Aid and Health and Safety. All our staff follow the Happy Jays Code of Practice which governs the way we operate.
We are all friendly, caring and are only too happy to help both parents and children. We work with the children to develop their creativity, imagination and language skills in a meaningful way. This is achieved through a wide range of structured activities in accordance with the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and with our own standards of good childcare practice.
All our meals are prepared freshly on the premises by our qualified cook and provide a balanced nutritional healthy diet for all children with the babies receiving their first pureed fruit and vegetable solid foods when they are ready to do so.
